The phrase "anti-aging" is frequently misused because it is a highly marketable phrase, and as there are no legal requirements regarding its use anyone can use it! Skin will continue to age of course, but the concept of “anti-ageing” products within the professional beauty industry is that they will be able to minimise the appearance of the signs of aging by virtue of certain criteria being fulfilled.

There needs to be an omission of any ingredients that have an adverse effect on the skin. Typically, the synthetic ingredients added to most brands may be great preservatives or emulsifiers, but thin, irritate or block skin, or make it more prone to pigmentation and sun damage. Simply having an absence of synthetic ingredients does not make them “Anti-ageing”.

There needs to be the inclusion of ACTIVE ingredients, and in high enough a concentration to stimulate a positive change in the skin.

Few brands, all-natural and mainstream, fail to be truly “anti-ageing”. The facial skincare hâut offers provides actives in a high enough concentration to penetrate the dermis and activate change, but without any counterproductive or synthetic ingredients.

I am thankful to have found a skincare line such as NuCèlle. I can’t argue with scientific data that supports the efficacy claims of the top two non prescription acne treatment ingredients: benzoyl peroxide (known to be highly toxic/possibly carcinogenic) and salicylic acid (petrochem), but I will say that in my nearly lifelong experience with my own and others’ acne issues, I have never seen either of them cure this condition. What I have seen is skin that has become highly sensitized and experiencing, arguably the worst result of using OTC acne products, REBOUND ACNE! What I see more often than not is that conventional OTC acne treatments cause more acne, and with the increased sensitization, more scars. I think that, aside from diet and hormonal balance, NuCèlle is a skincare line that is not a short term fix for skin problems but one that truly has life long benefits. It is easy to be skeptical with so many promising products on the market. However, I appreciate the fact that NuCèlle's products not only produce real results, but they are affordable to use.
